MRSA Protocol Toolkit: The first Solutions’ project success was in 2002 with the development of an MRSA Infection Control toolkit for community providers that would ensure consistency in the treatment of MRSA across the continuum of care. The toolkits were distributed widely throughout east Toronto.
In 2014 the Solutions Infection Prevention and Control (SIPI) group was implemented to work towards improving infection prevention and control for patients as they transition from hospital to community care by leveraging hospital resources to support community organizations. The first step in the project was conducting an audit of participating community organizations to determine gaps and opportunities.
